When worry, overthinking, or constantly anticipating what could go wrong makes it difficult to feel present and at ease.
Anxiety can make it feel as though your mind is always one step ahead — thinking about what could go wrong, replaying conversations, questioning your decisions, or trying to prepare for every possible outcome. Even when you know logically that you're probably okay, it can be difficult to convince your mind and body of the same thing.
You may find yourself seeking reassurance, avoiding situations that make you uncomfortable, overanalyzing small things, or feeling unable to truly switch off. Sometimes anxiety is obvious. Other times, it hides behind perfectionism, the need to stay in control, constant planning, or appearing completely capable while feeling overwhelmed inside.
In therapy, we'll look at what keeps your anxiety going rather than simply telling you to “stop worrying.” Together, we can understand your triggers and patterns, work differently with anxious thoughts and physical sensations, and gradually build your ability to tolerate uncertainty without anxiety making your decisions for you.
An initial consultation can help clarify the best next step.
